That was lopsided. But Giggy held the fort. Need traffic and a dirty goal to break it open. Still, Avs had ZERO offensive zone pressure. Every chance they had was on the rush.

I totally agree. Not enough traffic up front. Not many rebounds given up either but Giggy can see everything coming.

You are right. Pens dominated the period but the PP coming up with a goose egg is a concern. I think the Pens are better 5-5 lol

Wow, Crosby had over 9 minutes of ice time in the first - don't know if I've ever seen that out of a forward before in a regular season game.

Even at even strength, the Avs had almost no offense. I don't expect the 2nd to be the same.

That certainly changes things, sure. But even at even strength they did nothing with the puck. It could probably be considered a good road period for them though...being thoroughly outplayed and tied isn't always that bad. They'll get some PPs coming up, even they aren't worthy calls. The PP opportunities always get closer to even throughout the game.

Honestly, they weren't terrible PPs. They had possession, shots, good scoring chances. Lots of blocked shots, and a few great saves. I'm worried they didn't get a goal because that was likely the most opportunities they'll get, but the PP didn't look that bad.

I think they looked good also but gotta get the goals. I see a calmness in this team that wasn't there last season. So far this year it seems to be a good thing.
