College Football Top 10, per the BCS computers

I averaged together the six BCS computers -- Anderson & Hester, Billingsley, Colley Matrix, Massey, Sagarin, and Wolfe. Here's what I came up with.

TOP TEN
1. Ohio State
2. LSU
3. Clemson
4. Georgia

Same top 4 as everybody else. OSU had 5/6 #1 votes. LSU had 4/6 #2 votes.

5. Oklahoma
6. Penn State
7. Wisconsin
8. Utah
9. Notre Dame & Baylor

Memphis was tied for 11th with Florida. Michigan was 13th. Auburn was 14th. Alabama was 15th.

I'm glad we don't use the computers any more. Penn State at 6 is stupid. They got dominated by Ohio State and Minnesota, got completely outplayed in the second half by Michigan, struggled against Indiana, and should have lost to Pitt. They're not a good football team, probably top 25 but that's about it. Meanwhile, Utah has mauled everyone.

I'm glad we don't use the computers any more. Penn State at 6 is stupid. They got dominated by Ohio State and Minnesota, got completely outplayed in the second half by Michigan, struggled against Indiana, and should have lost to Pitt. Some major problems here.

Penn State has 5 wins against above .500 opponents. That's more than Utah, Oklahoma, and Baylor.

Penn State's SOS is pretty high.

Penn State beat Iowa and Michigan. Utah and Baylor have no marquee wins. Oklahoma has just Baylor.

Utah dominated over average competition. Their best opponent was USC, where they lost.

PSU being ranked 6th makes no sense, if you live in a world where a Pac-12 teams and a Big-10 team are playing the same level of competition.

Utah mauled no ranked teams while Penn State beat two such teams, Furthermore, they were not mauled by Ohio State and Minnesota. They were within a one score of Ohio State in the fourth quarter and if not for a questionable OPI call late against Minnesota, would have had first and goal with a chance to win.

This is impossible. Ohio State has not played any team of note.

They have beaten 3 teams with 10 wins.

The 3 terrible non-conference cupcakes they scheduled are all in their respective conference championship games, but that is just a mirage.

What kind of brain parasite is necessary to correlate a team who has NEVER lost to Ohio State, Florida, with the concept of "butthurt?"
