OR, San Francisco is having second thoughts on trading him away after watching two teams trade up into the #1 and #2 spots.

I'm not so sure it isn't that he doesn't believe in himself. I think it is more he knows he can get this money and why give in right away. See if the 49ers or Broncos will pay the extra money to acquire his services. The only reason to give in right now is to get into the Broncos building a bit sooner to get the play book. Otherwise not much reason for him not to show patience.

Also at least the story I have been reading is that Kaepernick feels like the 49ers lied to him and ripped him off when he signed his deal. Essentially the reason he was willing to sign such a team friendly deal was because they promised to sign some players he wanted the team to keep with the money saved from his deal. Players like Iupati who they then let walk in FA. So why not try to get as much money from the organization that lied to you to get you to take a cheaper deal.
