Coastal Carolina could beat Virginia

It is unlikely but I actually think they are the best 16 seed out there and I think Virginia is the worst 1 seed. Plus they are a really streaky team shooting. You just never know!

Coastal actually has the sevond best odds of any 14/15/16 seed to win this week per the metrics. Uva has the worst combined numbers of any 1 seed in the 17 years ive been tracking the data

I think JA Adande is calling this upset. Last time I remember people calling a 16 over 1, it was Morehead State over Memphis in 2008. Obviously, never happened.

Clearly Virginia is the weakest 1 seed since the others were locks and UVA barely slid in. It logically follows that the best 16 would match up with the weakest 1.

That being said, anybody who has seen Virginia play lately knows that Coastal is over-matched big time. Streak shooting does not play well against a defense that contests every single shot.
