Wow...I sincerely believed him when he vehemently denied using ANYTHING during his great year last year. Just shows you can't trust anyone anymore...

They never learn. Everything he does will now have an asterisk behind it. His fault, no one else.

Davis admits he took Adderall. He had an exemption in the past, but did not have it for this year. So, any claims about him not being clean in the past are null/void.

Yup, doesn't matter that it wasn't specifically a PED. He just cost himself a boatload of money in FA...

What a HUGE disappointment to O's fans who were hopeful we could make a run this year. We already had to deal with Wieters and Machado (2 great players) going down and now this. I'm sure the Yankee's and everyone else in our division are laughing now. This is a huge blow to the team and its fan base. Thanks Chris Davis, you bum!!!

Frankly, I don't think it's THAT big of a loss. Davis was boom or bust this year, mostly bust. Still hitting under .200, but supplying occasional power and driving in runs. Pearce has 1B down, and we will need Flaherty to man 3B. Hopefully JJ's injuries are behind him, because we cannot afford to lose any other infielders at this point. As disappointing as it is, I honestly don't think this really affects our playoff chances.

Honestly, I'm not sure how big of a blow it really is. Flaherty doesn't have the power of Davis by any means, but I think he gets on base more by a decent margin. As long as JJ is healthy that puts Pearce at first permanently now, Schoop at second, JJ at short and Ryan at 3rd. Cruz/De Aza in left and Young DH'ing when Cruz isn't.

I wonder who the next popular Baltimore sports athlete to fall from grace will be, this year? First, Ray Rice ... now -- although, not as severe a punishment -- Davis.

I'm sure a lot of those "Crush" T-shirts, bobbleheads and action figures will be piling up in dumpsters.

He can recover from this, but it will be hard. The main insult is that he would still be doing it if he wasn't caught -- which makes him untrustworthy and a liar in the realm of Miguel Tejada. :tsk:
