Yeah, the Nats as a team do not bother me, it's the fucking homerism of their announcers that piss me off.

Aside from Rick Dempsey, ours aren't that much better. Dempsey does play the Oriole spin, but he does speak critically at times.

Hell of a catch by Davis in B6 in RF. Davis hasn't played RF since the lower minor leagues. He has looked solid out there tonight.

Was away at my parents for the weekend and missed the Friday and Saturday game. Saw highlights from Hammel's complete game and looked like he completely stymied the Braves. Saw Chen and his 17 double plays today. Looking forward to the series with the Mets, they are coming off a sweep by the Reds.

You haven't been hitting the juice, have you?

Here's a video blog from Buster Olney talking about Chris:

Buster Blog: Davis Dominating - ESPN Video - ESPN

OPS of atleast 1000 on all sides of the plate, 5 homers off 1st pitch counts, 13 homers off of 2-strike pitches (as of Olney's making of that video)... good stuff. Chris Davis isn't making it easy for pitchers to figure out a way to solve him.

GREAT interview with Chris. Talks about his bat size, time in Texas, his pitching in Boston and his likeness to TV's Incredible Hulk.

Davis One-On-One - ESPN Video - ESPN

Nice interview. I especially liked when he talked about having doubts about whether he was doing what he was supposed to be doing after not really getting a shot after 2 or 3 years when other players were waiting 9 or 10 years.

Nothing against Texas, as their lineup has been pretty stacked for a long time now, but there's definitely something to be said for a player's confidence to know that they're going to get a nice long look in the big leagues because the team doesn't really have any other options. Worked out great for Chris on the our team, and I'm loving it as an Oriole fan. His demeanor fits the classic O's feel to a T.

Love the Lou Ferrigno reference... if he let his hair out... yeah, I could see it. A big ol' fro!

He really comes across as a great, level-headed, humble enough guy. Great, great pick-up for the O's. Can't say it enough.
