The 5 seasons prior to Kelly joining the ducks they had one 10-2 season the rest were 5-8 wins and no bowl wins.
First year under his system they went 9-4 and a bowl win. The rest of the time he was there they never went less than 10 wins, never lost to either of their rivals, and they won at least their division every single season he was head coach.

All from a pile of crap place like Ewwwgene Oregon.

USC was hit with atomic sanctions and Washington was being run by an alcoholic joke. The PAC was also historically down during Chips run. He had a window and maximized the advantage. Good for him. But the end result was NCAA sanctions and him being banned from coaching in it for multiple seasons.

I think this ends up a disaster for Florida or any other school that hires that POS. The rap sheets of the players he brings in will be a mile long and it will make Urban Meyer's crews there look like chior boys. And at least Urban knows you got to play defense to consistently win the big games. Chips a total joke in that dept.

Not gonna lie, I do think the ducks lost to Auburn mostly because of stupid coaching, which I viewed as pure awesomeness.

Just read on SECcountry that conversations included a discussion of Chip Kelly as HC and Scott Frost as OC. They assumed it a somewhat temporary situation where Kelly could retire after 3 years leaving Frost as HC if things go well.

I guess UF is planning to use those millions saved on Mac's fuck-up!

Yes and no. While his system doesn't work in the NFL, it works great in college. So, as far as his ability to win with his system, he's not overrated.

Having said that, the fact that he wasn't able to adjust his system or use a different one in the NFL, makes him overrated.

Not really. He had a system that he was able to make work. If memory serves, Chip's recruiting classes at Oregon were typically in the 15-20 range. Better than Oregon got back in the day, but not enough for them to get where they did.
