I know, I'm also kidding. Not everyone remembers that Bartman was from ND. Not our finest hour, although I always thought that kid got blamed because the Cubs choked away that game. Anyway, that won't happen this year.

I didn't know he was an alum. I think he is unfairly blamed for that. No one blames the 3 other guys going for the ball too. And that doesn't excuse the bad plays afterward. Or Dusty not pulling Prior. And I was living about a mile from Wrigley during that series.

People conveniently forget the meltdown by Prior, the very next pitch was wild. He should have been taken out, he wasn't.

Then, the error by Gonzalez at short, which would have gotten an out at 2nd, and possibly an inning ending double play. But all that goes unnoticed because some guy was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
