CFP will release polls weekly on Tuesdays

So until October 28th, all the polls (Coaches, Harrris, AP) we will see are meaningless.

Those of you that bitch about "I don't want polls until week 4 or whatever....

Jernstedt was born and raised in Carlton, Oregon and was a three-sport athlete at Yamhill Carlton High School.[1] He received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from the University of Oregon in 1967 and 1973, respectively. He was a football student-athlete while at Oregon, playing quarterback from 1964 to 1966 before injuries derailed his career.[2] He was named senior class president in 1966.[3] After graduation, Jernstedt spent two years in private business and then joined the athletic department at his alma mater, where he served in administrative positions between 1969 and 1972.[4]

This is a very big deal.

Might as well get pissed and ready now instead of come mid-October.... when none of us know what the fuck is going on or who is ranked where pertaining to the playoff, CFP games.

I guess their reasoning would be we are accustomed to seeing polls that count towards the NCG. That is the only one that does, so maybe that. I don't know what they are doing in any facet of anything.

the other polls will be released earlier - the real outcry will be when the CFP poll differs widely from the consensus that gets build before it is released. You really think the CFP won't be influenced by what the other polls show in the preceding weeks?

Well I assumed 2 of 3.


I assumed they wouldn't release anything until later in the season, and that they would appear on some TV show for talk and conversation.


Completely whiffed on them actually releasing a fucking entire top 25 poll. I figured they would simply release a list of teams "on the radar" in categories of A, B, and C. And maybe even just A and B.


Disgusted to see each panel member will put together an actual Top 25 ranking every week that will melt into the actual rankings they put forth meaning every panel member has equal value.


In the end, it probably doesn't mean much. 3 of the teams, if not all 4, will be readily apparent. At worst, they'll have to decide amongst 2 to 3 teams who will be the 3rd and 4th teams. Even Corky would have a chance of getting it right.
