Game Thread: Celtics Hosting Wooden Knickles, October 9, 2013

It's only an exhibition game, but the Wodden Knickles are still an NYC team, so I want the Celtics to kick their posteriors!

Even in exhibition play the 4th quarter's more important than the 1st.

If this is the only quarter the Wooden Knickles win I won't complain at all.

The announcers are a bit off-target on college ball.

That's a RECRUITER'S game, not a coach's game.

A coach who isn't a good recruiter is going to be stuck with crappy players every year.
A good recruiter gets players a knucklehead coach can win with.

That's why Pitino bombed with our Celtics. He was a better recruiter than coach. Which is okay in college, but not the NBA.

C'mon, people!

If the trailer has to settle for an outside jumper because of the time clock it's okay, but the lead man on a break should never settle for them.

If you've got a lane to the rim, USE IT!

Good thing this won't count in the standings. It doesn't look good for our side at the moment.

Sullinger does have a poor +/-, but he's having another good game on the boards, which is what we most need from him.

We won the 4th quarter. If we keep doing that things will work out well.

The "Brahmsian" username I wanted wasn't available over there so I settled for a combination of my actual 1st name and a random number.

I'm an orchestral music fan as well as a sports fan if you're wondering about the choice.

John you better get out there and recruit the old boys from the ESPN board. So far i've only seen BC17, he's on saved by the bellhorn. Where did everyone go? Go C's!
