Anywho, they're not built like the 80s Celtics, Lakers or even The Pistons of the late 80s. Those teams had all stars at every position. They are similar to The 90s Bulls though. Those teams had 2 then 3 great players and capable but not star quality players fleshing the team out.
Defense made those Bulls teams probably better than this Cavs team, but last year this team had 2 stars, plus Love who had played at star level in past years and supporting players. This playoffs Love is rising back to star level.

People use the term all star team, this is a some stars team. But the Bulls' some stars won 6 titles and might have won 7 or 8 had MJ not taken his long bus ride.
So I'm copping out, the proof will come in the next 4 to 7 games, stay tuned.

People called the Heat are a super team, and the structure of the two teams are identical. That's highlighted by Lebron being on the team as mentioned before. It's the sum of their parts that qualify them to be a super team. The fact that they can't win without Lebron or play like a quality team points towards shit coaching if anything.

The Warriors are a super team. They have 4 players that are in the top 20 of the NBA.

You seem to forget that they are also defending champions, and they rolled through a weak Eastern Conference just as a superteam should. Who really gives a shit about regular season records anymore honestly. They rest, and take nights off just to save themselves for the playoffs. It's all that matters.

So superteam is just another way of saying a currently dominant team? OK.

The Warriors seem to care about the regular season. Winning nearly 140 games in the past 2 seasons.

The Cavs are in a somewhat unique position in that they live and die by the play of one player. So they were fine with coasting and not demanding a lot from him in the regular season so that they could get peak Lebron in the playoffs. Most teams aren't like that. Heck even the Spurs weren't like that to anything close to the same degree.
