Flacco plays the Jags, Carr plays Vikings. Vikings have a solid pass defense while Jacksonville does not, but Carr has been on fire lately. My starter Ryan is on bye. Thoughts?

Hard to steer from Carr. Has healthy receivers and looks matchup proof.

The real question is Carr or Ryan.

I ended up taking Carr. Flacco has been alright but he has not put up the numbers Carr has lately. I'll still take Matt Ryan over both. Carr averages more than Ryan in my league, but Ryan is way more consistent.

You'd have a hard time proving that one. .In a standard scoring league, Carr has only 3 weeks below 20, Ryan, 5 weeks below 20...plus one where he had exactly 20. I want a floor of 20 from my QB position, and Ryan has failed to reach it more often than Carr, that gives Carr the edge in "consistency" in my book.

And if we only look at "recent" history, like the previous 3-4 weeks, Carr is not only much more consistent, but nearly twice as productive as well.

And even if you don't buy those factoids, what good is consistency if it's constantly mediocre? I want a guy whose floor is around 20 but can, and had, nearly reached 40, over a floor of 20 and hasn't touched 30 all year long.

Ryan is borderline roster worthy, waiver fodder in anything smaller than a 12 team league, Carr has played himself into a weekly starter for an 8 team league, is not even really that close
