We've talked with Travelle Warton also. If Kugbila continues to have hamstring problems bringing him in could be a smart move.
Yeah, he had to sit out in the Spring as well. Wharton could be solid for depth, imo.

We just signed a Guard named Chris Scott. 6'4", the Panthers list him at 320, NFL.com lists him at 360. IDK about him, he got cut last week by the Bills after failing a conditioning test and has been in the league 3 years and only played in 2 games. Might just be training camp fodder.

^^^ So Fua was a huge bust, and Cam is the last draftee from 2011 left. I thought Poole looked good in preseason, and am a bit surprised by that one - especially with the injury situation at RB.

We cut D.J. Moore, and picked up Tavarres King from the Broncos:

Panthers general manager Dave Gettleman continues to churn the bottom of the 53-man roster, claiming rookie wideout Tavarres King off waivers from the Broncos, the team announced Monday.

To make room for King, the Panthers terminated the contract of cornerback D.J. Moore, who has been sidelined for more than a month with a sprained knee.

Moore, a native of Spartanburg, signed a one-year deal worth $715,000 with the Panthers during the offseason after spending his first four seasons with the Bears.

King, a fifth-round pick from Georgia, had five catches for 64 yards for the Broncos during the preseason, but had not played during the regular season.

Looking back on the season, I believe the only "bad" loss we had this year was to Arizona. Yeah, we blew a couple of leads and people kept saying we wouldn't be really good until we won a close game, however, wasn't the Atlanta game a one score game in the fourth? We stepped on their throat and closed the Niners game out with a great defensive performance. Maybe this team has what it takes to get to the playoff and make some noise.

Going to the Patriots game...looking forward to another "W"!!

Yeah, I was actually going to start a thread on this. Lost in all the exuberance, we actually came out and won a close game in the 4th quarter, the main rap on this team. Hopefully, this builds confidence so that we can win in those situations in the future.

Brady is going to dink and dunk passes all over the field. Just like the Niners game, the defense will need to step up again. The Panthers cause some problems for the Patriots too. With Williams, Stewart now healthy, and Tolbert pounding it out, they certainly can make the difference. The Patriots have trouble stopping the run this season giving up 271 yards a game average rushing. But they are +9 in the turnover department and that concerns me.

The Pats had been winning ugly until their last game. They will come in with confidence. I agree we need to stay with our running game and control time of possession. Cam tends to play better at home.
The bottom line is that this is totally winnable but we will need more than 10 points to do so
