Given the benefit of hindsight, perhaps the team should have have DFA'ed Tillman to make room for Parmelee instead of skipping Chen's start?

(No, seriously... even with the Blue Jays' hitting vs. LHP, there's no way that Chen would give up 7 runs in 1.1 innings.)
I concur.........

And now we're behind. As much as I hate to say this... if Chen pulls a Mike Mussina and signs with the Yankees in 2016, the Orioles organization will only have themselves to blame for the "strategic demotion."

(To be fair, the move did make some sense on 6/16... but my concern is that Chen could interpret the move as a sign of disrespect in light of Tillman's recent performance.)

Agree 100%. Do they feel a need to continue going with Tillman, even after how horrible he's been? And if so, why? He is what he is. He had 1 decent season - there are plenty of 1-year pitching wonders.

On a more lighthearted note...

Over / Under for number of blown saves in this game: 1.5! :D

I wish I could answer that. It's like he's regressed to the pitcher he was three years ago instead of the guy we've seen the previous couple seasons.

Well, looks like my guess was half correct in the sense that two lead changes occurred after the 2nd inning... although Hunter isn't charged with a blown save for some reason. :noidea:

In any case, it's nice that this team's hitting was able to bail out the pitching today... taking 2 out of 3 is good enough especially considering that the Blue Jays are a better team than what their record indicates (at least from the standpoint of run differential).
