Look at this team that was put together to dethrone LeBron. Jordan never had to face this kind of juggernaut team. But could he have beaten them?

Even though the old school NBA players claim they could beat teams of today, I don't think they could.

In today's NBA, the three point shot has become like a layup. And Golden State and Cleveland has 4 players that can shoot it with high efficiency.

Consider that Golden State took 43 3point FGs today. In Game 2 of the 1996 NBA Finals, Chicago and Seattle combined to take less than 40.

You just cannot make enough 2 point shots to cancel out all those 3 pointers.

Warriors over all have better athletes.
They have an advantage in training techniques.
Nutritional supplements.
And genetics.
It's called evolution.
Happens all the time.
Just like 20-30-40 years from now there will be a super team that surpasses the Warriors as new generations take advantage of advances in training, nutrition and genetics once again.

Humans get better at most things over time, this is a simple fact

I'll take the 86 Celtics, or 87 Lakers. Thanks

The physicality of those Bulls teams would completely wipe the Warriors off the floor.

Bulls in a sweep...all day, err day

No way, not a sweep... Would be a helluva series... Warriors could win or the Bulls could win, toss up .. In close games though, Mike is still Mike, no one could do it like him closing games out.... Jedi

It's hard to know how teams would perform with different rule changes.

If the Bulls were required to play using modern rule enforcement they would get smoked. If the two teams played using mid-90s rule enforcement it would be much closer.

The Bulls would have a tough time trying to defend all 5 shooters out to the arc. It would be something they would never have done before.

The only real weakness would be Longley. On that 1996 team, the other four starters are all substantially better on the defensive end than Cleveland's guys, and all had the athleticism to play outside.

Jordan would completely limit Steph
Ron Harper is a favorable defensive matchup with Klay
Pippen was pretty much born to shut down guys like Durant
Rodman was debatably the best defender in the NBA at the time, and could crush Draymond.

I really think the Warriors are a great matchup for the Bulls. I think Golden State would be more thrown off by the Bulls defense than the Bulls would be by their offense.

Bulls would have the opposite problem of the Cavs, imo.

Cavs have an offense to match the dubs, but they don't have the defense to hang with them.
Bulls have the defense for limiting the dubs, but they don't have the offense to keep up.

Both would have the best player on the floor and a punchers chance.

Well I guess if the Bulls players could shut down some of the best players of all time, then they probably wouldn't have a problem with the Warriors.

To each their own. IMO, Steph Curry is a one of a kind player. Someone with great vision and perhaps the best shot in the history of the league. Dismissively saying that Jordan would shut him down seems a little easy.

Absolutely not

Todays' athlete in the NBA is far more athletic and conditioned

Look at some old school NBA footage, those guys dont even look like athletes

Jordan would run into the same problems Lebron has

He would do his thing, put up an awesome stat line, but probably only get help from Scottie, while Golden State is getting contributions from seemingly 8 guys

I dis-agree, I think the Cavs offense is a mess

Outside of Kyries' one or 2 highlight film drives to the basket, he has shot horribly

And 2 guys in the starting lineup, and every single guy off that Cleveland bench are absolutely dreadful offensive players

Iman Shumpert and Deron Williams and JR Smith and Channing Frye and Kyle Korver, etc.etc.etc.

Just dreadful every time the ball finds them
