Even immediately after his injury, it was widely speculated that Bridgewater was out at least until 2018, if he was ever able to even play again. In fact, the total uncertainty and what was essentially a guarantee that it was a minimum of a 2-season injury was what led to the Bradford trade in the first place. Not sure what could have possibly made you think that Bridgewater would even be playing in 2017, let alone competing with Bradford for the starting job.
