They don't outsource player discipline. It's usually off the field conduct that turns off fans that the teams will discipline. The league supplies the refs, the league makes up the rules, and the league has to police the field.

If they start handing out 4-6 game suspensions for some of this shit then players will have to adjust or they'll get cut and nobody will pick them up. This was disgusting. So the Bengals organization is supposed to hold a higher standard as far as conduct on the field goes than the NFL itself? That makes no sense to me. And why single out the Bengals? The Steelers were just as bad. They had a fucking coach pull a players hair. You don't think that sent a bad tone? He should be suspended for the rest of the playoffs and into next season.

The Steelers have their own issues to address and should do so. History has shown that they're more willing to do it than the Bengals, who seem to let their personnel do whatever the fuck they want.
