It's the NFL's job to punish him. The NFL supplies the refs. The league hands out suspensions. There's still coaches in the league that promote that sort of bs.

Teams can punish their players as well. Cincinnati clearly doesn't. The results of that approach were seen today.

They'll suspend them for personal conduct crap. They won't suspend a guy for something like this. That's the league's job because it happened in a game.

And that's why Cincinnati is Cincinnati. Worst culture in the league; worst fanbase in the league. In a league that has Eagles fans, that's saying something.

What team has ever suspended a player for a cheap shot? Maybe it's happened but I can't recall any team suspending a player for overzealous play.

Marvin will be happy that they made the playoffs and won the division ignoring this game completely. And whoever their GM is will keep giving Marvin chances because hey, at least this is better than being in the gutter.

Is Cincinnati's current approach working?

Well they were hot going into the playoffs before their starting QB got injured. That's not the point though. The teams job isn't to handle crap like that. That's the league's job. Goodell's completely lost his grasp on that and he's more worried about PSI in balls than players going after each others heads. This is crap they need to handle to make it stop because most of the coaches are cronies that played when this shit was business as usual.

He warned both teams and told them the refs weren't gonna tolerate any chipyness or shit tonight. People will be suspended but you can't physically make the players stop fighting with each other if they don't want too. If penalties and suspensions don't work there's not much else you can do.

I have to disagree completely. He plays for Cincinnati. His out of control behavior cost them the game. They can and should punish him. They shouldn't wait for the NFL to do something. They should stand for something, but right now all they stand for is being a shitty, undisciplined team that has never won a single fucking thing and never will because they have no integrity.

Worst display of discipline I've ever watched. Marvin Lewis needs to take a look at himself in the mirror and try and figure out what's wrong.

What's wrong is they continue to get guys on the team that have huge red flags of character and hoping that the talent trumps the character flaws. We saw tonight though that they are just not emotionally tough enough to handle such a big situation. Yeah they can help win a ton of Regular Season games but when you need them most to make a play or at least keep a cool head they can't do it. I mean when you have to constantly keep telling Burfict as a coach to calm down and not do anything stupid and yet he goes out and does it well just not the best way to build a team.

Then they can trade him and make him someone else's problem. It's the league's job. Maybe they should start taking this shit serious because there were a couple of cheap shots that I saw that could have ended guys careers.

Bunch of assholes in that game. You had a coach grabbing a player of the opposing team by his dreadlocks and trying to throw him. You had a guy running onto the field with his coat/cape still on just to shove a guy. Actually you had a number of guys on both teams running onto the field just to get involved in fights. You had fans cheering a QB getting hurt. Fans throwing shit onto the field. Illegal hits, and borderline headhunting going on by both teams all day, and a shoving match after just about every third play.

It was a fucking disgrace to the entire league.
all part of the NFL's new global outreach program. They've been trying to build a larger worldwide audience by appealing more to soccer fans.

The league has a role in enforcing discipline, but he gets his paycheck from the Bengals. If they outsource their player discipline to the league, they deserve the decades of ineptitude they've experienced. You gotta own your own shit.

They need to get more aggressive with these suspensions. If they start handing out 4-6 game suspensions for some of this shit then players will have to adjust or they'll get cut and nobody will pick them up. This was disgusting. Munchak should be gone for a year for trying to interject himself into the action. You don't think that riled up the Bengals? And Tomlin's a piece of shit. He's a dirty coach that revels in this type of garbage.

On a sloppy rainy nite, Hill trying to bust one and fumbling is unacceptable. Go down, kick the FG and the game's over.

Gaining yards should've been the last priority. Hell, down it 3 times and they likely win.
