From reading the tea leaves, team Burfic is trying to float the 'adderall defense'. You know, the one that Seattle perfected for PR cover when a few of their players got busted for PEDs. It's excuse #1 used by PED offenders nowadays because the league can't confirm or deny it. Offenders know that most fans don't give a fuck about adderall compared to other PEDs.

It's part of the CBA. Player privacy. They can only announce what category the positive test falls under. Substance abuse or PED.
