Damn, almost makes me feel bad for Tennessee.

On second though, fuck those low down dirty snitches.

I don't give Tennessee much thought one way or the other but this might have been one of those times that the author could have kept his thoughts to himself. What he did was nothing less than sheer brutality.

I never thought I would say this, but Alabama needs to agree to an end to the cross-divisional rivals - as Alabama's SOS is taking a huge hit by playing the Vols each year! In the mean-time, keep the winning streak alive.

Yeah, but it was all true, that cluster fuck of a coaching search is enough to make fun of Tennessee for a decade, that was brutal and made them look like clowns.

Well worth the sos hit to pound some nails in this coffin. Choo Choo for the #13 Express Train!

I always like when they use words like "Never". That should remove any credibility from the rest of the article.

These programs have a lot of resources and will turn things around when they get the right coach in who can put the pieces together. Momentum can come very quickly.

Oklahoma hasn't won a national title in 19 years, and before that it had been 15 years. So one natty in 34 years. They are Oklahoma though. They will win another.

Tennessee is in a tough spot, geographically. IIRC Fulmer was really successful recruiting north Georgia and the Carolinas. There is not enough HS talent in TN to carry the program to the big stage and even then, UT does not have the state locked down. Clemson, SC, UGA and even VA Tech/Vandy are putting the squeeze on UT in local recruiting and then the blue bloods take whoever they want. Firing Fulmer was a huge mistake and a decade later they are still worse off over that decision.

Yeah, I forgot they could have had Dan Mullins, Mike Leach, or Mike Gundy.

Any of which would have been great coaching hires.
But they didn't.

Never is a long time though.
