No wonder that defense is so stout suddenly.

His first and probably only chance to get a ring is now 'up in smoke'

Luckily, I don't think the Hawks will miss a beat with Maxwell and Lane. They get their other druggy back, Thurmond, the last game of the season.

Compared to the boys D, ever NFL defense is stout.

You're definitely playing like Boys.

Monte Kiffin needs to start smoking the ganga before the boys playoff hopes
go up in :smokin:. What's the availability of a cheech & chong emoticon?

The whole mj thing is stupid. I forget who it was, but one former player came out and admitted that he lit up when he was playing. When they asked him to go into it he asked rhetorically if he would have been better off smoking weed to relive the pain or popping pills like vicodin.

I'll say the same thing I did when it first became public that he was facing this: He's a total and complete dumb ass who is getting what he deserves. I really don't feel bad for him in the slightest. It is only his teammates who his actions reflect poorly on that I feel bad for.

Of course he is going to fight it, but he is done. Only way he ever plays a down of football in the NFL again is as a late season injury replacement when it basically won't matter if he fucks up again anyway.

Dumb ass is dumb.

There is no excuse for BB 's decisions.
A super bad call on his part.
He should get a 4 game suspension and I'd say most Seahawk fans agree that he should be punished.
Yet, this is a long story that is bigger than the headlines. Research it if you wish. The NFL is playing a major power play and I hate that crap about big business.

Free Brandon Browner.

I am not saying that so he can come back and play for Seattle in the playoffs. Anyone that has watched our team lately will wonder if bringing BB back could cause a slight dropoff. Our reserves have played spectacularly.
I can see the team letting him go in free agency.

Maybe I'm wrong, but didn't Browner voluntarily enter into the substance-abuse program which forced him to submit to weekly pee testing? I heard that he has pissed over 200 times for the league and this is the first one that came back positive.

Definitely seems like the penalty doesn't match the crime

Blessing in disguise

Maxwell and Thurmond have proven to be better corners less susceptible to getting beat by small/fast wrs (Ty Hilton, Titus Young, Kendall Wright, etc)

Oh but it does fit the crime....When youare at the stage of a full year suspension...it means you have screwed up on Multiple occasions, and he KNEW what the consiquences would be if caught again.....if he didnt know, then he is 1 Stupid MO FO.....actually his actions by getting himself suspended for a year have proven it...BB is 1 stupid MO FO!!!!

1 failed test shouldn't end up with this result because of a bad policy. Browner isn't innocent but he definitely has a case. I saw this sort of policy nonsense in British athletics years ago. It resulted in a future Olympic Champion being wrongly banned for missing a test. Fortunately it was appealed and overturned.

If I remember correctly, his first slip up was when he was first drafted by Denver, and then he entered into the substance abuse program. That happened years ago. Then he failed to continue to take pee tests for the NFL when he was no longer in the league, which resulted somehow in him getting a strike two. Since he has been back in the NFL he has to submit to regular pee testing and from what I understand he has taken over 200 pee tests and this is the very first one that came back positive for weed, and qualifies for stage three punishment. So his penalty seems to be just as ridiculous as him smoking weed when he knows he has to take a piss test
