I think it’s the beginning of the end for Brady. He is no doubt one of the greatest. 5-3 aint bad in SB’s.

However, let’s save the greatest athlete stuff for guys who never lost in the big game. Joe Montana, Michael Jordan, etc.

the greats don't lose in the big game. Aikman is a prime example of a born winner. Montana is another.

These arguments are bull manure. That is all.

Get a clue. Brady aint going anywhere and I would not be surprised to see the Pats right back there again.

Nope...that's not going to happen. He wants to be with his kids and coach them while they are young. Pats dynasty is over...it was a nice run, but it's over. we saw it tonight.

You called?

He played a helleva game. IMO still gpt a year or 2

But if i were BB. I would be looking for the heir apparent
Maybe, but he’s on the wrong side of 40 and he didn’t look good the last qtr of the season.

He did great after bye weeks when he got rest, but Father Time can’t be avoided.

That might've been Brady's best ever Super Bowl performance.

I wouldn't even include Montana in a greatest athlete conversation. Great QBs don't need to be great athletes. Not saying they can be clowns, but there's a median between clown and great athlete that a NFL QB will be just fine at.

As for Jordan, yeah, I consider him a great athlete, but on the same level as Deion, Bo, LeBron or Mike Trout. I dunno.

Greatest athlete is probably the wrong example. Brady is one of the greatest QB's, but athlete, not so much.

My point was, there are just certain athletes that you knew were going to will their team to win. Brady did his part this game, for sure, but I think scheme and coaching has a lot to do with his success.

Foles outperformed Brady imo. Watching the game, Foles was fitting the ball in tight windows all game. Brady was hitting wide open receivers. Combine that with the fact that the Patriots only ran the ball 15 or 16 times, Brady was going to get his yards.

Ugh, Brady played a great game man. He is not the reason the Pats lost.

So losing before you get to the Superbowl is better? That's a dumb thing to think.

IMHO that was confusing. They should have run the ball more, no doubt.

This is not golf or tennis. It is a team game. I watched Montana play his entire career with the 49ers and he is my favorite player. As great as Montana was, the years the 49ers won those teams had good defenses. They didn't play as poorly as the Pats defense played last night. When the 49ers beat Miami during the 1984 season, Montana had a great game but the defense also played great and shut Marino's high flying offense down. Montana didn't have to throw for 500 yards and throw for 6 TDs for a win.
