Ok gents it's Monday of game week so I will not ask for game scores or who is going to win just yet...but give me at least three BOLD predictions for the season...good or bad, but let's get it down on paper so we can hold each other accountable!

Here are my three predictions:

1. We will start 3-1, so I have us beating at least one current top 5 team to start the season.

2. Our defense will finish in the top 50 of scoring defenses...4 teams from the Big 12 made it into the top 50 last year. Best finish for WVU the last two seasons 99th.

3. We will have a receiver with 100 plus catches.

Bring it on gents!!!:suds:

1) we will NOT beat 'Bama, Saban doesn't lose to 4TD underdogs
2) I will NEVER be on the Holgorsen bandwagon, even if he starts winning, I do not think he is what should be the face of WVU
3) the defense will be improved, but will not be in the top 50
4) Luck is, as we speak trying to scrape up the buyout money
5) we WILL beat Kansas this year, as they have the older version of Holgorsen coaching there.

This is from cbssports...the parts in bold make me wanna vomit. They don't even try to hide the SEC bias anymore :gaah:

The Alabama defense will open the season without one of its key members, as Nick Saban announced Wednesday that linebacker Trey DePriest will not play against West Virginia due to an undisclosed NCAA infraction.

Saban also made sure to point out that this was a "one game deal," so the opener should be the only game DePriest misses. He also pointed out that it shouldn't be too big a deal for the Tide defense seeing as how West Virginia's offensive sets will have Alabama in nickel and dime defenses most of the night anyway.

Another reason DePriest's absence won't be a huge deal? Because this is Alabama we're talking about.

Don't get me wrong, DePriest is a good player. He was voted to the preseason All-SEC team for a reason, it's just that Alabama has the ability to replace former five-star recruits with another five-star recruit. That's just how the Tide rolls
.

Plus DePriest was limited in fall camp due to an injury, which allowed Alabama's reserve linebackers to get plenty of reps, which will help them get ready for Saturday's opener against West Virginia.

Why? Was there anything false stated there? I do not see any falsehoods, just the truth. Alabama has third string guys who would start on most teams.

All of mine are still possible. I think Striker will be DPOY though. O-line has done a good job of keeping Clint clean for the most part. Shell has run pretty good too. I think 1k is within the realm of possibility, maybe even the 15 TDs..
