Hey I am not badmouthing Husker football at all. I was just comparing their old HC (Pelini) to their new one (Riley) as far as their coaching records. Also correct me if I am wrong but the guy that just got fired is/was a better HC than the fella that was in Lincoln before him (Callahan), right? Although I think the change will be great for the Huskers, their new HC & even their old HC.

Didn't think you were. :suds:

I have heard it this way. Oregon State is like Indiana. So your entire program is a cut below. But what Riley did was develop his kids and pull some major upsets. So the thought process apparently is that he did more with less at OSU and now will be able to do more with more at Nebraska. Only time will tell if it was actually a good move...

Did anyone in the presser ask Bop why he lied and said the YSU talk was all rumors and lies?

I do not get why he does that. Any normal person would just say "no comment." Bop has to go the extra mile though and say everyone's lying.

football scoop actually had a very good video on their website about it.

someone just asked if having Tressel would be bad since he knows football so well, he said that he would be forever thankful for the time he had under Tom

Youngstown State: According to The Vindicator, Bo Pelini’s salary is expected to be similar to that of previous head coach Eric Wolford, who earned just under $260,000 per year. Pelini is earning $150,000 per month for 51 months from his Nebraska buyout. The Vindicator has a good story on the local reaction to YSU landing Pelini.

But he has always lied about taking other jobs. He said he never had interest in the Miami or Penn St jobs a few years ago. It's nothing new.

Osborn used to come down to the practice field and tell him what a wonderful job he was doing and that Nebraska is just so lucky to have him back.

Eichorst, it sounds like, treated him like someone you are paying millions of dollars to do a job.

Eh, they could of fired him after the Iowa game for reason and not paid him a penny but instead they give him a contract extension and fire him a year later with a great buyout.
It was a gift.
