footballscoop was right about something. Bo is going to Youngstown State. Good luck Bo, I hope you do well there, and here's some advice... If an assistant coach isn't doing a good job, replace them!

i doubt if legally he could take $1. NU could probably argue he took a job and that a $1 salary is purely because of his buyout from NU and that on average an FCS coach makes $XXX,XXX and get it lowered by that amount. If Bo wants to screw over NU, he'd get the least amount possible but still seem reasonable, like maybe $150k a year.

If Bo wanted to screw Nebraska over he would sit on his ass at home eating, drinking, and laughing away as Nebraska wrote him checks amounting to millions of dollars.

He could easily invest a million of it and be a multi-millionaire the rest of his life with no worries at all. Just doing nothing but sitting on his ass. His contract with Nebraska doesn't specify that he must go get a job after they fire him.

I respect him for going and taking on another obstacle.

Good for him and I hope he enjoys his money. 7 years ago most of the fanbase was filled with joy when we found out he'd be making millions as our new head coach. So he did nothing wrong.

You know what they say...you fling enough shit at the wall, eventually something will stick.

that's true. he'd definitely want to leave Nebraska though, as shown by the idiot snapping pictures of him at a local restaurant. Move back home and buy a house and just coast by the rest of your life. I'd like to spend all my time golfing and just hanging out.

That is my goal eventually in life.

Good luck to Bo and YSU. I have no ill will toward the man. I'm just fairly confident that he was not ever going to get over the proverbial hump.

I dint think Bo ever really wanted to be here. If he would have beat Texas he would have jumped ship, or Wisconsin or OU. The fact that he not only lost but got his Fucking lunch ate. Only pissed hhim off about being here more. I'll admit he had a lot of coaches come and go but Shit its bos job to keep them here. His whole approach of "Fuck Em" won't work anywhere

Damn...thank fuckin' God? Your Huskers are replacing one HC that won no less than 9 games every year for a HC that only won 5 games @ Oregon St. last year & has only hit the 9 win total in a season 4 times in 14 years of coaching. '06: 10-4, '07: 9-4, '08: 9-4 & '12: 9-4. That being said though I do hope that Riley is the right HC for your Huskers.

If tOSU would have gotten beaten down time and time again in the manner that we have you would be grateful for a change too.

And all those job offers he got after he was fired from Nebraska because he won 9+ games a year... Good thing Youngstown State offered him such a lucrative deal that he just couldn't pass it up.

This. Outsiders don't get that he wasn't fired for "only" winning 9 games. He got fired for being an embarrassment in the big games. And the "big games" were getting smaller and smaller. Minnesota? Northwestern? Iowa? Really?

Hey I am not badmouthing Husker football at all. I was just comparing their old HC (Pelini) to their new one (Riley) as far as their coaching records. Also correct me if I am wrong but the guy that just got fired is/was a better HC than the fella that was in Lincoln before him (Callahan), right? Although I think the change will be great for the Huskers, their new HC & even their old HC.

I just can't knock Pelini for wanting to go back home & coach his hometown university. Of course it's a step down on the coaching ladder but I still wish him the best of luck.
