Aaaaaand the D is quickly back to garbage.

    Still fighting hard.

Didn't expect to win this game anyways.

Win the DePaul game and 4-3 through the first 7 is a DREAM

Well hopefully you can watch and confirm how badly we get jobbed by the officiating

How the fuck was that out on MU before the timeout?

    Leads to butler points

I wonder how much Marquette's struggles on defense are tied to the fact that they start two 5'11 players. I feel like Wake has a similar problem with Wake giving major minutes to four guys that are 6'3 or shorter.

    That's the issue.

But they have to this year.

Next with no Rowsey will make it better

And if Sam Hauser is the "shittier" Hauser...wow.

I feel your pain. I hate playing multiple smaller guards at the same time, because you're just fucked against any team that has lengthy playmakers. It also limits you offensively, even though Marquette has an awesome offense.

It is a tad early to make absolute statements, but this would be a really bad loss for Providence.

Man DePaul had been playing some teams competitive lately but holy fuck were they bad tonight.

Marquette played probably their worst game in over a month and was up 30 at one point.

Rowsey and Howard were bad. Whole team sloppy.

Win we had to have tho

Huge next 5 game stretch for Marquette. I'm guessing you'd be ecstatic to walk away at least 3-2 in those?

Yeah 3-2 would be insane. Honestly just getting 2 puts us in prime position to get a tourney bid barring collapse.

Don't think many MU fans had us at 4-3 at this point so we have a little wiggle room.

I'd agree with you there. Plus assuming one of the two wins would likely be against Providence, that would give you guys the sweep against them, which could be significant come Selection Sunday.

Exactly. The most likely 2 wins are against the fellow "bubble" teams so that would be big. And if not then it means a far more quality win against Nova or road at X/SHU.

Basically the magic number is 6 right now. 6 wins and in forsure. I think 9 BE wins should be enough but its dicier if 6 of 9 are against the 3 bottom feeders.

Interesting. Get all the college partying out of the way and then come back for business next fall?

Guessing those games against A&T, Howard and Coppin State didn't prepare Georgetown for Villanova.

At least, Georgetown can lay claim to a share of the MEAC title this year

He's injured and out for year with his high school team

This let's him work out with college trainers and have recovery contact with Wojo and Co plus travel with the team.

    Should be really helpful.

Sad state for a once proud program.

Hopefully Ewing can turn it around. The Big East needs the Hoyas.
