Monty Python's Flying Circus... M or F?

In the movie version of this, I dropped the first part if was an ownership type thing (Monty Python, Indiana Jones and..., National Lampoon's...). I am partial to not counting these as part of the show. Thoughts?

Agents of Shield and Flying Circus can both work although no one should be voting for Agents of Shield imo.

Can I get some people to weigh in on the animation subject? Should we include animation (US, UK and Canada only) or remove it?

Personally, I think it is hard to exclude South Park or the Simpsons, but do we want to allow the 800 different Avengers cartoons or any of the X-Men shows? GI Joe? Transformers?

I see the argument in both directions. But I fear that if we open it up too wide, the final answers will get a bit too watered down.

Maybe we do an animation specific one after?

I'd say leave them in.
You will always get ass clowns that put in GI Joe or X-men to be cute but the title of this thread is "Best" and we will just have to sort thru those shows because in most every single case they are nowhere near "Best.

The prob with that is that "Best" is subjective. Some people watch nothing but educational shows (History channel, NatGeo, etc), some watch nothing but sports (SC, TWIB, BDSSP, etc), some watch cartoons, some watch network. I just fear that if we dont put some kind of parameters on it now, determining the top 5-8 for the actual polls could be a problem.

Some people think Survivor should be a clear contender while others would think all reality TV should be exempt. Same for Comedy Central shows or comic cartoons.

I think maybe I did not explain this well.

This whole thing is done in two rounds.

Round 1 is the nomination round. In this round, you can nominate up to 5 different shows. The top 5-ish shows move on to the next round.

Round 2 is the actual vote. The shows that make it here will be put into a poll an each of us will be able to vote for the best. If a show does not receive at least 50%, the top vote getters will move on to a runoff. This continues until there is a perfect tie or a winner is decided.
