Seeds are from Ranking the Heisman Trophy Winners of the BCS Era on NFL and CFB Success

*Bush is not included on the list, so I put him at #16. Completes the bracket. Ranking is also by their CFB and NFL careers, but it is the best list I found.

Vote solely based on their Heisman winning season.

This Week (Wed-Sun)

This Thread - Quarterfinals - #3 Sam Bradford (2008) vs #8 seed Johnny Manziel (2012)
Other Thread - Consolation First Round - #11 Troy Smith (2004) vs #14 Eric Crouch (2001)

No repeat matchups in this bracket (winner of 1st matchup wins). Loser of semis goes for 3rd.
Higher seed wins tie breaker.

I thought Bradford easily had this one, but if you include the rushing, Manziel's stats are just as impressive. I'll have to think about this one.

Manziel. Not because Aggie bias. Bradford was great passer, much better than Manziel, and deadly accurate with the ball but I think Manniel had better rushing and play making abilities.

This one really shouldn’t be that close. Bradford was far and away the better passer and far more accurate. He has a legitimate NFL arm. Manziel’s ability to make chicken salad out of chicken shit with his legs was jaw dropping at times but Mike Evans bailed him out of many a thrown up jump ball.

Not disagreeing that Bradford was a better passer or Manziel had a better WR, but it is close. I bet Bradford had a far better OL. I bet Manziel faced better defenses. But I do think Bradford was a better QB . But it is close
