Seeds are from Ranking the Heisman Trophy Winners of the BCS Era on NFL and CFB Success

*Bush is not included on the list, so I put him at #16. Completes the bracket. Ranking is also by their CFB and NFL careers, but it is the best list I found.

Vote solely based on their Heisman winning season.

This Week (Wed-Sun)

This Thread - Quarterfinals - #4 Jameis Winston (2013) vs #5 Carson Palmer (2002)
Other Thread - Consolation First Round - #12 Chris Wienke (2000) vs #13 Mark Ingram (2009)

No repeat matchups in this bracket (winner of 1st matchup wins). Loser of semis goes for 3rd.
Higher seed wins tie breaker.

I think Jameis Winston was more exciting to watch, but I would rather have Palmer at QB.

I think you're letting Jameis' sophomore year factor into that decision. Jameis was money his freshman year

Winston was bipolar and many of his games were a tale of two halfs.

Which would I rather have? Depends on my offensive scheme.

You're doing the same thing as jerms here. He only threw multiple picks in a half ONCE during his freshman year. His sophomore year was awful in comparison to his freshman year and he got bailed out by a great defense and run game in year 2.

His junior year at Louisville was a crazy game where the Cards went up 21 by half mostly on his turnovers and then the second half he went absolutely nuts and no matter what he did worked.

In Auburn's offense I'd take Winston.
In tOSU offense I'd take Winston.
In Alabama's offense I'd take Palmer.
In USC's offense I'd take Palmer.

I'd take Cam Newton over either in any offense.

And I'm not disputing that he was erratic his RS Sophomore year. That game was ugly. A lot of his games were that year

But since it's only talking about the actual year that the player's won the Heisman, those games can't count in the thought process

Not my rule, I was just pointing out how jerms let it affect his opinion as well even though he's the one who started this thing lol

I would choose Newton over Winston and Palmer as well.
