there are some really good classical guitarists out there that no one has heard of that can play the shit out of a guitar. You tube some if you every get bored.
I've played guitar for many years and a lot of the electric/hard rock stuff is easy compared to some of the classical guitar fingerpicking. I actually hardly ever pick up my electric guitar anymore because I love the challenge
You gonna post your list or just complain about the one that's up?
Hmm... just like a "favorite bands" list it could change on any given day. But off the top of my head as we speak...
1. David Gilmour (he will forever be my #1, his tone is second to none)
2. Frank Zappa
3. Trey Spruance
4. Mikael Akerfeldt
5. Adrian Belew
A modern favorite of mine is Tosin Abasi, he is the future of guitar virtuosity, hands down.

Those poll choices are awful.
Really, the choices should be split into multiple categories; musicians guitarist and peoples guitarist being two of them. Separate categories for jazz and rock, too.
Steve Howe
Steve Morse
Jimi
David Gilmour
Roy Buchanan.
My dad was childhood friends with him.
