Interesting Exercise here, list the best individual FIELDERS you have ever SEEN

For example you may think Buddy Bell was better than Adrian Beltre, but if you never saw him actually play, pick Beltre... this will bring a little age and perspective, especially from some of our older guys

C- Pudge (this was easy)
1B- Teixeira
2B- Kinsler
SS- Andrus
3B- Beltre
OF- Gary Matthews Jr.
OF- Craig Gentry
OF- Hamilton (in LF he was good, CF not so much)
DH- Palmeiro (kidding)

Interesting exercise ...

1b: Chris Davis (best defensive 1b I have seen)

Just looking at 1b what surprised me was during their time in TEX ... Teixeira and Chris Davis had near identical FPCT with CD actually .00005 higher: Teixeira (.99636) versus CD (.99641).

Mitch Moreland hasn't been that shabby either ... .99513.

Rafael Palmeiro in his first tour w/TEX ... .99379 and his second tour ... .99425

It's too early in ST to get into the more esoteric sabermetric defensive comparisons (as if there is a good time for defensive sabermetrics). That said I'm going to go with CD as TEX best defensive 1bman. He only had 6 errors in 2 full seasons and 2 partial seasons with TEX which included having to field throws from rookie Elvis Andrus plus I'm willing to bet half of CD's Es were on throws from MY at 3b.

*need to disclose that I have never been a Teixeira fan either.
