There's little doubt about the top three, and the other two only have a small sample of work to draw from:

1. Nick Saban (Alabama)
53-5 overall (.914)
5-2 in the playoffs (.714)
3 SEC titles, 4 straight trips to the playoffs
3 straight title game appearances
2 National Titles; 1 runner-up; 1 first-round loss

2. Dabo Swinney (Clemson)
50-7 overall (.877)
3-2 in playoffs (.600); 4-2 postseason (.667)
3 straight ACC titles, 3 straight playoff appearances
2 straight title game appearances
1 National Title; 1 runner-up; 1 first-round loss

3. Urban Meyer (Ohio St.)
49-6 overall (.891)
2-1 in playoffs (.667); 4-1 postseason (.800)
2 Big 10 championships
1 National Title; 1 first-round shutout loss

4. Kirby Smart (Georgia)
21-7 overall (.750)
1-1 in playoffs (.500); 2-1 postseason (.667)
1 SEC title; playoff appearance in 2nd year as HC
1 national runner-up (in OT)

5. Lincoln Riley (Oklahoma)
12-2 overall (.857)
0-1 in playoffs (.000); OT 1st. round loss
1 Big 12 title in first year as HC

Horrible list. Two of these guys are living off other coaches recruits. Stoops would be above Lincoln Riley.

Actually, Stoops was 30-9 (.769) in the 3 years of his tenure during the CFP era; 0-1 in the playoffs with a one-sided loss to Clemson; and 1-2 in the postseason. Don't forget that Lincoln Riley was responsible for a number of the Sooners recruits under Stoops. Bob did win a pair of Big 12 titles in that time.

I did say there was a limited amount of input on the last two coaches. Just going on what has happened to date. We'll see if Linc has any staying power.

OU was favored in every regular season game. They were preseason top 5. Lincoln did what he was supposed to do, not much more or less. Granted it was a high bar, but he he met expectations. You need more than 1 season with an experienced team and a senior Heisman candidate QB to be called on of the best. This is a conversation that needs another 3-5 of data before you can make a reasonable opinion

Who would your 5th best coach be? And your 4th best, considering Kirby Smart's only been at Georgia for 2 years?

Chip Kelly is on that list before either Kirby or Lincoln.

Wrong. Chip Kelly didn't coach during the College Football Playoff era.

What if one of those coaches had half of his team being his own recruits, getting more out of the previous coach's recruits than the previous coach ever did, and has gotten in better recruiting classes than the previous coach ever did(On paper, the 2017 recruiting class was the best in school history, only to be blown away by the 2018 class)?

So then Harbaugh should be on the list?

He did coach an 8 win season after 2 straight 10 win seasons at Georgia. I don't think many Georgia fans were feeling great after 2016. Perhaps 2017 is the start of something big or maybe 2016 is reality. Too early to tell. He gets an A for this year and C- for last year. That doesn't equal 1 of the best coaches over the last 4 years.

In all honesty, Scott Frost has a better argument than Riley or Smart right now

But look what he did with high rated players from other coaches?

Finish 3rd in his division?

Which is a far cry from a conference championship, a playoff win and a NCG appearance on a team where half the players were his.
