He might be drafted higher by position, that doesnt mean that he's a better prospect.

He's regarded at least as good. He's bigger and stronger. He's better suited for today's NFL for sure. Whether he'll perform to the hype remains to be seen. I think he will.

He'll be a very good WR. He reminds me of Dez Bryant without being a jergoff. Green actually benefits I think (as will all WR's) by the new rules that protect the WR's. Green is actually a pretty strong dude despite his frame, though. I know he put up more reps than Julio Jones last year on the bench.

there aren't many RBs i would give up a 1st rounder for in a trade. Spiller's one of them though. I doubt the Bills give up on him this early. Jackson's good, but you can rotate both of them in the lineup. plus RBs always get injured so it's a good position to have depth

I would give up a 1st for Jonathan Stewart. The Panthers paid DeAngelo Williams so that means they probably aren't going to re-sign Stewart, I'm sure if a team were to give up a 1st they would jump at the offer.

He would work as well. More realistic trade scenario too.

Spiller had 107 attempts for 561 yards (5.2 ypc). He also had 39 receptions.

These numbers adjusted into a full time role would be pretty amazing.

Spiller had 107 carries for 561 for the WHOLE year not just the 6 games after Jackson went down. In those games he rushed for 446 yards for an average of 74.3 yards per game which is hardly amazing.

Saying he only averaged 74 ypg is very misleading.

In those games:

as the main option, he still averaged 5.2 ypc. He only averaged 14 carries, so another 5 or so carries a game might have brought that number down a bit, but it's still pretty damn good.

He also averaged 4 catches a game for 7.8 yards a pop putting him at 105 all-purpose ypg.

He's multi-faceted and it opens up the entire offense.

You know Kramer I was being a jerk with my last post. So I apologize. New year, new board so lets start off on the right foot and lets all be civil to one another.

Sure. Why the fuck not?

I think trading a 1st rounder for a RB is more realistic then getting a good FA to sign with us. Hopefully Mikey pursues that option. I aint gonna hold my breath, though.

Stewart would be a great fit, and with Cam Newton throwing as much as he does they have no use for 2 #1 RB's.

Also, the Panthers could then trade their extra #1 pick coupled with their 2nd round pick and move up to draft Blackmon. That would be sickening for them.

I'm against trading a 1st for a RB, but you hit the nail on the head. If the FO proactive and not necessarily even creative, with as many picks as we have and the money we have, it would be extremely hard to not come away with a great offseason.

What in the hell would we draft another top 5 WR for? We need a ton of help at other positions. If we're going to trade up, it should be for Richardson.

I wouldn't trade 2 #1's for Richardson. I just don't see the all pro RB in him. Not worth 2 #1's when we can get Stewart or Spiller for just a 1st or even sign Tolbert for no picks. Also I'm against getting Barron. I think we need at least 1 OG in the first 3 picks, at least 2 CB's in the first 5, along with a RB and a ball hawking S. I like Martin from OK St. more than I do Barron.
