Sources have said Beimel is in Peoria and taking his physical. It would not be a major league deal. But a minor league deal.

Ya, in the end GMZ looks like a genius getting him for a fraction of the price on a minor league deal. Regardless, it is great insurance and I hope they try to make Montgomery a starter again.

I think they will try and make Montgomery a starter again. They should be doing that. I was kind of assuming they would try him as a starter to begin with and if a need comes up for a bullpen guy then they could try and adjust for that.

I hope so. He has good stuff, but no control from what I read. I think Paxton had the same bio a couple years back.
