With Toronto losing, we got a 7.5 game lead over Toronto right now. Hope that with Hardy out and Manny on the DL that we don't let the foot off the throttle and continue winning series after series.

hardy thumb is greatly improved the last 2 days( per roch and jj )and could've played in the game last night . so i look for him back in the line up friday . on manny seems to be walking good without braces and stuff but don't think we will rush him at all .

With this lead, I hope Hardy stays out a couple more days to rest the thumb. Would be a nice break to get other guys AB's and for Hardy to get his legs under him. His hitting was just starting to come around so I'm also hoping the break doesn't hurt his mojo at the plate he has experienced lately.

Still think we should've played that makeup game today instead of in September since both teams were off today. Wasn't like either team was traveling far for their games tomorrow. I'd rather do that than a double header. Could just be me though.

I can understand that. I just think that I'd rather have played the game yesterday, even though we didn't have JJ or Manny. We beat them without them Wednesday, so we could've done it again. Plus, with a double header day, our bullpen could possibly be exhausted for the game the next day and if the starter gets knocked out early, it'll just tax the bullpen even more.

september we could have 10- 12 pitchers in the bp . gonzo , webb , meek and the mighty joe will be up . then we could start berry which i would love to give him a taste of the bigs .
