Baseball Game In An Empty Stadium

This is stupid! if you are doing for safety reasons, why are you still playing the game in Baltimore, the riots are still going on outside and the players can still get in trouble... So why not move the game? you'd still be the home team

I think it has to do with police presence. They have enough to protect the ballpark and grounds but not all the fans that would have gone, the surrounding businesses etc

Possibly but fans still would have shown up and gotten into the ballpark. At worse they should have cut beer sales off at the stadium instead of locking all fans out. I do see why they did it though

The Orioles should just announce that due to circumstances beyond their control, they are relocating the rest of their home games to Washington. And if things don't calm down, then they will relocate across the border to Montreal. After ten years sans baseball, I am sure that the French Canadians will pack Olympic Stadium for every home game. As long as there is a Mrs. Mayor of Baltimore, the city will be at risk for more riots. What Baltimore needs is Guiliani as its Mayor, not that bitch trying to get on TV.

Montreal's infrastructure is a fucking mess. As in, catastrophe waiting to happen. Considering that and the fact that MLB already moved out of Montreal, I don't think there's much chance of them going back.

Also, do you really think threatening to move the Orioles is going to mean shit to these looters?
