Bama ran 82 plays against WVU and was running some HUNH. What gives?
Yelp, we ran a play every 45 seconds, that sure is a hurry up. When your time of possession is 37:47, you're going to run a lot of plays.
A team that is known for their HUNH, Oregon, ran a play every 28 seconds.
Oh yeah! We're Bama Fast now. That's more plays per game than Oregon averaged last year. It's all about being more efficient with clock management on offense and not wasting time.
Um. 37:47 divided by 80 yields a play every 23.1 seconds. To get 45 seconds per play, Alabama would have to have held the ball for the entire 60 minutes of the game.
I'm sexting Saban now, will report back with response.
The number of plays ran per game is a totally useless statistic.
You have teams like Oregon that run hunh for a half , are ahead by 35 at half. And then run the clock out in the 3rd and or 4th quarter. So what you get left with is a number of plays that is relative to the speed they went in the 1st half, or vice versa, how slow they went in the 2nd half.
Um. 37:47 divided by 80 yields a play every 23.1 seconds. To get 45 seconds per play, Alabama would have to have held the ball for the entire 60 minutes of the game.
Except against Stanford.
Did it take time to rub a couple brain cells together for that one?
Ya, duh. Seems like I have to explain everything to some of you dolts. Assuming some of you will grasp a comment with its intent without writing a book is difficult.
This board is getting seriously dumbed down when even the likes of you are joining the retards like Bino and Sabanator.
Really? Now you are calling people names?
It is called a damn joke. Hence the whistle.
