Yes, the refs are human. But that doesn't excuse the constant failure to properly do their job. Fans and teams are allowed to have standards. We shouldn't have to chalk everything up to human error. I think it's fair to wonder why Michigan's D-line has only been given two holding calls in 2 seasons of B10 play. I think it's fair to question things like that. That goes beyond just 1 human mistake, or even a couple. That's a systemic problem that's now been happening for two years.The refs are human ... and like the players, they are going to have good and bad days. I understand the job of officiating a football game enough to know I couldn't do it. If you think you can be a better referee then apply for the job. If the officiating is that bad, the proper people know and will handle the situation.
