Imagine if the Mariners had signed Aoki, Cruz and Martin.

I think the discussions we'd be having about this team would look a lot different right now. All those solo home runs that Cruz hit early on may not have been solo shots had we added Aoki.

Changes the lineup completely. On base guy in Aoki who can play everyday in LF and Martin playing 90% means no Ackley or Zunino auto outs. Could you imagine?

I probably can't imagine, because it would probably put the Mariners in first place. Something that I'd have trouble picturing.

Smith or Jackson should always be hitting 2nd... I'm guessing if Smith was hitting 2nd today, we'd have another run or two... Trumbo isn't very good at the top of the order... 6 or 7 is where he should always be unless he's hitting the cover off the ball, which he is far from...

I predicted 6 automatic outs between Jones and Sucre at bottom of order and now we have 4 of them. Why you sub both of them against the team you have to beat is just amazing to me. Jackson is our hottest hitter and needs to play in big games. This is a big game. Sucre is an auto out which makes him just a hair worse than K-nino.

Well we have the 6 outs I predicted. Bad news is it is only the 6th so we still have time for 2 more combines outs. Ug!!!

Yep... Prior to today's game he has allowed 11 of the 12 runners he inherited score since he's been back from the DL... That's just dreadful...

He doesn't know how to manage a pitching staff and it's just not his starting lineups being a head scratcher but it's the timing of the changes that throw me off... He's just not a very good manager...

I still have no clue why a .179 hitter (Trumbo) is put in at the #2 spots today when he hasn't batted there since he's been w/ the club... You keep Smith there, because you have to get on base for our 3-5 hitters...
