Can you think of any other band that was more talented and more influential than Led Zeppelin?

Basically what I am getting at is if Led Zeppelin is not in your top 3 all time Influential bands...

I will fight you

Not sure why but Zep has never been one of my faves............with that said the only other band that would be more influential than them IMO would be Sabbath...........shit, everybody had to own all of Zeps albums (except me) when I was a kid..............and a TShirt too. Ramones should be in the top 10 IMO though......shit, I'd have to say the band in my avi was somewhat influential........prolly not top 50 though........lol.

It was one of his later songs, one of the songs that if read between the lines, he knew he wasn't gonna be around much longer. He wrote some morbid songs for the time towards the end.

I always liked a lot of his Luke the Drifter songs because they were that way too. Be Careful of Stones That You Throw is a good example. (I think that is the correct title)

Bob Wills was my biggest influence on my fiddle playing.

As far as I'm concerned, Loretta Lynn is the most influential woman in music history.

Here's the first Country song banned from radio play.

At this point I'm surprised Zach Attack hasn't been mentioned

When I listen to Patsy Cline, I don't hear what I consider Country Music. She was pop. Willie Nelson writing "Crazy" and a tragic plane crash are the only reasons why Patsy Cline is considered a great.

She tops my list of most overrated singers.

Loretta Lynn has more talent in her bowel movements than Patsy Cline had in her entire body.

Loretta's vastly superior vocal range and songwriting prove it.

Country Music was at a crossroads in the late 50's and early 60's. You had the heavy pop stylings of Patsy Cline, Eddy Arnold, Jim Reeves, etc. Thankfully the good guys like Johnny Cash, George Jones, Buck Owens, Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn and Johnny Horton won out.

I wish artists like Jamey Johnson and Sturgill Simpson would win out today and save Country music, but I doubt it will happen. Real Country music is an underground artform these days and probably will remain that way.

Johnny Cash, Conway Twitty and Johnny Horton started out as rockabilly singers.
