This has got to be the most ridiculous thing ever and it's not because of Joe West but the reporter who asked this question should be ashamed of himself. Whether it's the umpires or players the question was asked to get the other person in trouble. If this was a player criticizing an umpire in the same manner with the same, he would absolutely be suspended, so this is why Joe West was suspended.

These reporters need to come up with better questions to ask.

gotcha! It was part of an interview that Nightengale of CBS did as part of West's 5000th game umpiring. Dont get me wrong, I'm all for the suspension because a player would absolutely be. I'm just against these types of questions. To his poiny, Beltre does seem to complain a lot! West also criticized the speed of play, replays, and DH to name a few.
