For who? Many teams end up not breaking even on bowl appearances.
Time for bowls to do more on their own - ESPN
I've seen this argument before, but I have to believe if the overall outcome was a net loss, schools would turn down bowl invites.
And replace those lesser bowls with some post season games.
Which would you rather see? A bunch of 6-6 teams play each other in the Maccaroni and Cheese Mediocre Bowl?
Or FSU, Ohio State, Bama, Oregon, Auburn, Baylor, Stanford, UCF single elimination playoff?
Less football...
but more quality football.
Well, instead of eliminating the 6-6 teams, here is what needs to happen. Outlaw schedule padding or at least limit it to one game a year. So many major conference schools basically go out and hire bad teams to come in and lose to them, making at least half of those 6 wins suspect. Then 6-6 might mean something. Also, we need to decide whether division one means division one. If we are going to have 10 conferences plus several independents, the mechanism needs to exist so that any team from any conference at least has a shot, if they can win them all.
Otherwise, let's keep the current system in which at least 35 teams get to end the year with a win.
EVERYONE should get a bowl game so they all can have little trophies and orange slices.
The B1G is banning FCS opponents but I don't think this takes effect until 2015 or 2016. By that time it will also be on a 9-game conference schedule, and the top teams are improving OOC scheduling (Wisconsin has LSU, Alabama, LSU the next three years), so strength of schedule should improve dramatically.Well, instead of eliminating the 6-6 teams, here is what needs to happen. Had homemade baked Mac'n'Cheese last night with dinner.
Had leftover homemade baked Mac'n'Cheese today with lunch.

I'm wondering the same thing. I've been googling that shit off and on since last night with no results. If that chick had shown some tit, it would be on the interwebs somewhere.
