I'm rooting for him to hit 50+ home runs. The butthurt (especially among the NY media and curmudgeon sportswriters) would be great.

If A Rod hit 50+ homers this year, the Yankees win the division. I could root for that.

It would be even sweeter for me if he did it with the Yankees missing the playoffs, but something tells me the Yanks have a bunch of leftover pixie dust.

I could see a healthy Tex having a pretty good year.

Well then you need to put asterisks next to just about every hitter and pitcher in the late 90's until now. This is stupid picking on one player. All need a asterisk next to their name. Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa, Jason Giambi, Rafael Palmiero, Jose Canseco, Roger Clemens, Andy Pettitte, just to name a few.

I agree, all of Andy Pettitte's homeruns should be redacted

What I actually meant was they should count the 684 he SHOULD have allowed, if he hadn't been juicing

How's your closer? Oh yeah, I'll ask again in 80 or so games. So, you think Piazza gets into the Hall next year?

Which closer? In Queens, we have numerous and sundry closers. In fact, what time can you suit up tomorrow?

Piazza =/= a True Met.

At 14-5 the sundry closers seem to be doing well as Mejia sits out his roid suspension. I live in FLushign and have a railroad pass so Alderson is intrigued by me as a cheap replacement. I told him I'd work for Shake Shack coupons

:nod: The lazy and ignorant pundits in the media with their herd mentality are a pain.
