Yankee fans are going to be hard up for heroes this season. No more of those "Core" players who helped them establish the dynasty back in the late 90's/early aughts.

A-Rod, for better or worse, is one of the few remaining links to a former championship team (2009). Teixeira and Sabathia are the only other ones, having come to the club that same year. Unless I missed somebody somewhere.

Gardner, really the only Yankee to like at all. He plays and shuts his mouth and doesn't make excuses constantly like CC and Teixeriable.

This is your "ace"? LMAO

Surely you're not judging after this performance?

Least you not forget how we should not judge the Yankees on their first 5.

That's what you were telling us yesterday.

Red Sox in 1st place - Yankees in last. Everyone cheering for Arod - heart of the Yankees.
Remember it is early in the season when you look at the statements above!

He has always been a very elite baseball player. I think the challenge he will have now is age related. At his age, even less significant injuries can slow performance. But I've always enjoyed watching him play and I still do.

IN-GAME TESTING!!!

 The question is now that he knows they are watching and testing can anybody claim he is juicing? If not, does it not go to show that the impact of steroids on home-runs is greatly exaggerated?

Until there is in-game testing, there's more rampant juicing now than ever before. Your last statement is pure nonsense.

I wouldn't say it is more rampant today then it was in the 90s, but I would say that a number of players are still juicing today.

Are you serious? Here are statistical facts for your reading pleasure, Hammer. Please take your time and read through them. Even though it concentrates on Bonds it goes even further in destroying the arguments that steroids are the be-all and the end- all of homeruns in baseball.

Actual Baseball Effects of PEDs

Enjoy, and no facepalm here, Hammer .

Well then you need to put asterisks next to just about every hitter and pitcher in the late 90's until now. This is stupid picking on one player. All need a asterisk next to their name. Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa, Jason Giambi, Rafael Palmiero, Jose Canseco, Roger Clemens, Andy Pettitte, just to name a few.
