Always wondered about DirecTV

Though I got FIOS and I can't imagine somebody beating this service.

DirectTV works for me. I get all my sports, HBO, regular crap and ATT Uverse internet package for $125, I think...wife pays it.

The feed can freeze during severe storms but it's rare and usually lasts but a few minutes...

Well I will tell you the story of this "friend of mine"

He paid $150 per month for DirecTV for years.

He moved where he now has family nearby. They have extra boxes they use in their RV they travel in from time to time. They have ZERO boxes plugged into the Internet as they all rent movies on iTunes via Apple TV or something else.

So they got wise that Directv has no idea WHERE the boxes are. And since they live 4 miles from one another, they just share boxes and split the bill.

Is it stealing? Sure.. but does it negatively impact Directv? No. Because they end up buying 10x more service than we would if we had separate accounts paying double (e.g. NFL ticket, NBA, NCAA, all the movie channels, etc.). And those services are sunk cost on their end other than the license fee which is minimal. And keep in mind they would NOT buy those services if they had separate accounts.

Kinda like my old Metallica Black Tape/CD. I bought it about 20x because it always got stolen, scratched, stopped working, etc. So the day I stole it off napster...I really didn't feel bad since I had bought that license about 20 times before.

:)

Yes, this.

The defense in the first half was tight. They just need to keep doing what they are doing and tell Jordan Mayes to never, ever, ever shoot the ball (unless he is open by 10 feet), or try to pass when there are defenders around.

What is up with this "Lebron's training has never been revealed..." commercial by PowerAide.

Does anyone seriously give a shit and will actually login to see him working out? And even if you did, do you really believe that is his full workout?

The only way I watch is if they show him sitting in a training room being injected with HGH along with Dwayne "The Jaw" Wade and Mark "Can you pop that zit on my back?" McGuire...

I think Zona is fine... every team gets a little careless when they are up big. They will refocus and shut them down in the 2nd half. I expect a 25pt win.

I once pitched a commercial to the Massengil brand team for a new douche product using the Kool and the Gang song... "She's Fresh..." but Kool and the Gang didn't go for it... LOL. Their manager said they were insulted.

Yeah, I'm not worried about anything except for heavy foul trouble.

For anybody watching the Cats this year, it's their M.O. They always jump out to a 15-20 point lead and then slack off and let the other team cut it down to 10, or less. they have done it in nearly every game this year, it is maddening.

One of these games they'll take a 20 point lead and turn it into a 30 point lead, One can hope, anyway.

Umm... AG, you are not Magic Johnson. Please keep the passes simple and stay away from the 20 foot no-lookers. Thanks.

We need to put our foot on their throats. Not let up one iota. I don't want to feel the way I did at the end of the Weber St. game
