Wow. He is definitely losing a step but maybe in the right place he could have a comeback.

The Texans really had some great pieces of the puzzle in order to make a Super Bowl run.

It's too bad they couldn't get enough of those pieces together at one time to get there.

Very true. If only Matt Scrub hadn't been their QB.

Wow. Don't know his contract, but would have thought post June 1 if anything; after they were sure they know they had something better than what they had last year in house. Foster is still one of the best IMO in spurts. Problem obviously is his inability to stay healthy. If he comes relatively cheapo he is an ideal rotation guy.

Gotta be prepared for him to miss half the season if you sign this guy. Also it would probably be wise to write something in the contract that requires him to eat meat again. Pretty sure his pussy diet is contributing to him being so injury prone.

He had 9M left for the 2016 season. Per over-the-cap they save 6.6M this year in cap space.

Is that why Rock had a judges outfit on today... something tells me Brady gets off.

Has anybody checked on the judge that is supposed to be hearing the case today? Just be prepared for tomorrow when 50 new Deflategate threads pop up.

Schaub wasn't the Texans' problem, he just didn't have much of a supporting cast. Hell, the only QB to win 2 Super Bowls between 2007-2013 was Eli Manning, and his numbers were terrible during those years.
Eli Manning 2007-2013
TD% 4.7
INT % 3.4
YPG 243
QB Rating- 84.02

Schaub before his meltdown was actually an above average QB. I don't know what all happened that final year but he just lost all confidence and has never been the same since.

Shaub at the end was real bad, like falling off a cliff bad, but in their peak...IDT he was the reason they didn't go further...'12 playoffs the D just got torched by Brady. IMO...HOU had a top 3 WR, and top 3 RB, and just okay players at WR2, 3, TE...NE clamped down on Foster and Johnson and HOU had no plan b...kind of like CAR this yr.

The other part is Schaub did struggle with some injuries. I think the 2 best years they had he didn't make it to the playoffs and they ended up starting a 3rd string QB if memory serves me right.

Guys hit the nail on the head with Foster. I don't think his body can hold up a 16 game season anymore unless he is a platoon back or some such. As for Schaub, I think somewhere towards the end of the 12-4 season, he had an undetected injury because he went to absolute crap in the last month of that season and it just carried over into the next season.

Denver would be a good landing spot. He can get half the workload and stay healthier splitting carries with CJ, and running in an offense he knows.

I wouldn't mind seeing him come to Camp on a non-guaranteed contract. Like you said knows the system well and could really help some of the young guys understand the system that much more. That was part of the problem this past year was many times the RB's really missed the open hole. They seemed to want to bounce it outside way too often when the cut back lane was wide open.

Surely he is hiding deep in Kraft's pockets.

30 years old and injury prone is not what teams are looking for in running backs
