the experts are as confused by this team as we are. I mean, anywhere from 1st to 4th in the B1G West Division (by the guys at CBS). Which I could see any of those scenarios happening especially with injuries already hitting this team.

personally, it all lies on the offense and if you really widdle it down, it's the QB. we need consistent play, a 65% completion rate (on all throws, not just <15yd passes). If we get that we have the D to keep us in games.

65% with TA? Are you dreaming?

fine 60%. I'm just saying, with all our RBs, we just need our QB to step up and hit some deep balls to keep the defense from stacking the box. with our running game, we should be able to shorten games, eat clock, keep the D fresh.

the other thing is limit turnovers. if we can have a positive TO margin this year, then I think we could get that 10th win.

I'd be giddy with 60%

Do that, maintain a good running game, cut the turnovers in half and I can see 10 overall wins. Maybe even 11.

A 55% completion percentage and not have multiple turnovers game after game after game after game after game, and ball control like you stated here, and we would see a two loss season or better, assuming the defense improves like they should.

Tommie Frazier made it by with like a 48% career completion percentage. And was one of the best players of all time in the process.

Just goes to show how all you really need to be is well-disciplined and good up front.

Add on to that field position. We need to be able to flip the field once in a while when our d forces the other team 4 and out.

Those 90 - 95 yard drives are killers.

And better special teams play, or a better kick return game.

Yep that's a great way to flip the field.

I'm beginning to think Martinez was a better QB than TA is. On the other hand, if the offense was really simplified down to the bare minimum, maybe we would have seen a season full of joy, such as a one loss season.
