Meh probabably not the players themselves

Gregg Williams can go get hit by train anytime though.

I don't know about the whole team, but the hit by Joyner was definitely dirty. You can see it in this video.

They did give Stanton a concussion last year. I'm not sure dirty is the exact word for it, but reckless absolutely, and that comes down to coaches and discipline.

Well you have two coaches that the word "dirty" seems to follow lately.

Ouch. It's definitely a foul, but it's really hard to ascertain dirty intent because things happen so fast in pro football and it's hard to put much thought in split second decision making.

It looks really bad in slow motion, but at real speed, it's hard to say for sure that he meant to hit the guy in the head. The chance of taking a hit like that certainly increases the longer you wait to slide. I suppose it's possible that the Rams are coaching their defensive players to intimidate QB's to slide earlier because it would lead to less first downs for the opponent, but I'd need to see more evidence. Someone mentioned a hit on Stanton last year. Are there other hits?

if you going to call the rams dirty then you may want to remind your self why the WHOLE league is called the National Felon League.

Just throwing this out there but the Vikings scored in the red zone on two straight Teddy Bridgewater runs. If you constantly put your QB at risk, he is going to go down eventually.

As for the hit itself, its a foul. Dirty? Probably. Joyer is still young and not as good as the other 2 CBs. He gets targeted a bit and it wouldnt be shocking if he lost his cool.

OMgoodness. WTH. Zimmer is such a crybaby. The QB was out of the pocket and it was 2 full grown men running at each other 20+ mph. Play in the NFC West every other week and see what Kam Chancelor does if he sees someone running at him. I admit the Rams D is aggressive and yeah it's their job hit people. What a panzee this Zimmer guy is!

:sadbron:

Sorry.. The Rams play through the whistle. And don't come crying to us about QBs getting hurt. This is a young grouip of kids playing hard.

Key words there:

QB is out of the pocket! If you're QB wants to run outside the pocket, he needs to put his big boy pants on!

Clearly a penalty. But the defender was making a hit on a ballcarrier during a live play, and it was only a rules violation due to the ballcarrier's decision to give himself up a split second before the hit in real time. Hard to call that dirty. Now if this happened away from the play and the defender went for his knees or something like that, then that's dirty.

You know dam well that every team in the NFC West plays thru the whistle and NO TEAM in that division will give a freakin inch! 2 grown men running 20 mph towards each other?

This is football man. If a QB wants to take off and go outside the pocket, he knows the risks involved. Zimmer is a little bitch for bringing in Gregg Williams into this. This was a 2nd year CB/Safety playing hard and not giving a QB an inch.

As far as the Cardinals last year, yeah we "took out" 2 of their QBs.. Go back and look how Palmer got hurt. he was barely touched

Also makes you understand why the Rams have led the NFL in penalties under Fisher.
