Anybody play defense in the NCAA anymore?

Looking over the lines for tomorrow's game and the o/u for half of them is over 60 with a high of 75. That is nuts.

They keep making all the rules offensive friendly because they think it's a more attractive game.

Based on what I'm seeing in actual scores, take the under every one of those game and make fat stacks, unless it's the Big12.

Washington has led the PAC in defense every year for past three seasons ... as in every year Chris Petersen has been HC there. This year is his 4th season at Washington.

For sure the last three have had over 60 points in the games...and three of those four teams are generally considered to play good defense....

Defense is still critical to winning. But the way people think of defense needs to change. The game has changed, drastically, in my lifetime.

I mean offensive linemen CAN use their HANDS. Still blows my mind. Defensive players have to be CAREFUL about how they tackle. WTF? Running picks, running 5 wide, makes playing pass defense almost a hopeless cause.

Have not wished being a D Coordinator in the Big12 on my worst enemy for the last decade- thing is, now it's caught up to the rest of the country. And the NFL. Slowly, but eventually, NFL is doing the same.

Point is, cant really say "does anybody play defense anymore?" It's a different game, saying that really is a non-sequitur.

Yes, there can still be a dominant defense. But a dominant, creative offense will beat it everytime.
