Meh. I don't care enough about the Cowboys enough to take issue with it. But in all reality, Jerry Jones should put the Minnesota Vikings in the Cowboys Ring of Honor for gift wrapping them 3 titles in the undisputed worst trade in NFL history (in the Cowboys' favor).
Or at least let Lynn take a few selfies with the trophies.

Viking fans are STILL pissed about that trade.

According to them, the GM was on his way out the door so he decided to screw the Vikings over.

As has been alluded to, sure Jimmy Johnson did some great things with those teams, but without that horrible trade the Vikings allowed, it is much more likely that those 3 titles would never have gone to Dallas.

Lets not forget the most important person in winning those 3 Super Bowls. Mike Lynn. General Manager of the Vikings. 18 players and draft picks. Without Mike Lynn those Trophies would be in some other city.

Best fishing in the world when a hurricane is a couple hundred miles offshore. Caught 23 snook in less than 2 hours when Ivan came up the Gulf. That's more than I caught in the previous 5 years combined. I do love a good hurricane.

 dayum!

Having lived in South Fl during the most recent absurd hurricane seasons...gotta say, last thing on my mind was fishing...:pound:

He certainly deserves as much credit for those 3 trophies as anyone else. Too bad he sucked too badly at his job to bring a legit trophy to Minnesota.

I'll defer to Cowboys fans, but this is some petty and vindictive crap from Jerry Jones.

It's Jerry just being childish, nothing more.

In Jerry's mind, he hired Jimmy so therefore he should get credit for everything Jimmy did.

It's the reason Jerry is running his team into the ground - he wants to prove he can win a ring with himself as the GM.

I guess I'm still not fully understanding why people are upset over this, especially people who aren't Cowboys fans. Even if this were an issue with a team I'm a fan of, I don't think I'd care. In the end, Jerry Jones in this case is just a bitter old man being a bitter old man, and Jimmy Johnson, in Jerry's honor club or not, is still living a lot better than 99.9% of the world off the millions he made off football, or at least he should be unless he let himself go broke.

I couldn't care less about Jerry Jones. I'd hate him for sure if he ran the Lions but hell the Lions fans can hate their own team owners.

What are the idea that Jerry Jones is becoming more senial and delusional with each passing year, leading to his team's continued struggles until he either finally kicks the bucket or sells out?

Agreed. This latest interview wasn't remotely as shocking as it's being made out to be. It's typical Jerry. It's like people forget who he is 24 hours after reading a story about him, so when they read the same old stuff again, it's shocking. The dude can't run a team, he's in denial, and he's mad he doesn't get credit for those 3 Super Bowls. Nothing is going to change any time soon, but we'll see a story about this stuff in less than a year, and everyone will behave as if they're outraged again. It's wash, rinse, repeat, year after year with Jones, the press writing about him, and the fans taking the bait.

saw that last night, indeed fucked up. he came across in the interview as an old man losing touch with reality. time for his kids to try their best to push dad to the side.
